Caroline County Public Library
May 16, 2017
Teens and adults are invited to gain valuable work experience, serve their community and support their library this summer by volunteering at the library’s Central Library in Denton.
Volunteers will assist library staff with setting up the meeting room tables and chairs for lunch, serving pre-made bagged meals to a group of about fifteen children ages 9-14, spending time engaging with the children as they eat their meal, and cleaning up tables and the meal area when lunch is over.
This work is ideal for people who love to work with children. Both adults and high school students entering 11th and 12th grade are encouraged to apply. Students can earn Service Learning hours helping out with this program.
Volunteers will be needed to assist with serving lunch Mondays through Fridays from 12:30-2pm, from June 25 through September 1, 2017.
Volunteers may work any number of days per week; schedule is flexible based on volunteers’ availability. Volunteers under the age of 18 are eligible to eat Summer Meal during their volunteer shift.
To apply, please contact Amanda Courie, Youth Services Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 410-479-1343 ext. 157.
